This salad is so named because it's a flexible way to use ingredients that you may have in your pantry: it can include combinations of cold meats, cheeses, eggs, and salad greens.
Making recipe:
2 skinless chicken breasts fillets (about 300 g/10 oz in total) oil, for brushing
1 large head cos (romaine) lettuce
4 tomatoes, cut into wedges
150 g thinly sliced ham
125 g thinly sliced Swiss-style cheese
3 medium eggs, hard boiled, thinly sliced
white wine vinaigrette
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon sugar
salt and freshly ground black pepper
