About salad :

This salad was created in 1926 by Bob cobb at the Brown Derby in Los Angeles. The story is that he wanted a snack and put together leftovers from the restaurant kitchen. 
Cobb salad is a Most famous recipe across all over the world.It is an American garden salad typically made with chopped salad greens (such as:iceberg lettuce, watercress, endives and Romaine lettuce), tomato, crisp bacon, boiled, grilled or roasted (not been fried) chicken breast, hard-boiled eggs, avocado, chives, Roquefort cheese, and red-wine vinaigrette. Black olives are also often included.

One way to remember the components is to use the mnemonic EAT COBB: Egg, Avocado, Tomato, Chicken, Onion, Bacon, Blue cheese then add lettuce.Cobb salad is an  American salad recipe. It was such a hit recipe across world, later on the celebrity stars started requesting “Cobb’s salad” and soon its spread through out the world.


Ingredients
2 cups (500 ml) chicken stock
1/2 cup (125 ml) dry white wine
1 small lemon, chopped 
4 skinless chicken breasts, chopped 
4 bacon slices, chopped
3 medium eggs, hard-boiled, finely chopped
1 small red mignonette lettuce
2 cups trimmed watercress
3 medium tomatoes (about 500 g), chopped
1 large avocado, diced
150 g blue cheese, crumbled

Vinaigrette

3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 teaspoons finely chopped tarragon
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, crushed
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Making recipe

1  Combine stock, wine and lemon in a medium saucepan then bring to a boil. Reduce heat
and add chicken. Simmer, covered for about 15 min or until cooked. Drain chicken and cut into small pieces, After that leave to cool.
2  Take bacon in a frying pan and cook with an high amount of heat until crisp, then drain on paper towels.
3  Tear down lettuce leaves into small pieces. Arrange lettuce and watercress into individual serving plates on the top with chicken, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, avocado and cheese.
4  To make vinaigrette, whisk oil, vinegar, tarragon, mustard, honey and garlic until mixed well, then add pepper to taste. Drizzle salad with vinaigrette.
